Free Coffee Concerts and Organ Recitals!
Monday, April 13th, 2009The programs of Free Coffee Concerts and Organ Recitals have now been finalised. This year one of the organ recitals will be at Acton Scott Church, so you’ll be able to visit the church that featured in the Victorian Farm series on TV. Monday July 20 at St Laurence’s Parish Church – Music from Gabrieli to Chopin for brass quintet by the Hereford-based Bevere Brass
Tuesday July 21 at St Laurence’s Parish Church – Songs, serious and light-hearted, sung by the baritone David Lewis
Wednesday July 22 at St Laurence’s Parish Church – Gay Walker tells the story of Babar the Elephant, with music by Poulenc
Thursday July 23 at St Laurence’s Parish Church – Piano recital by Susie Allan, one of Shropshire’s foremost pianists
Friday July 24 at St Laurence’s Parish Church – The ever-popular JB Jazztet make their fourth successive appearance at a Church Stretton Coffee Concert
Saturday July 25 at St Laurence’s Parish Church – The Shrewsbury-based vocal quartet Colla Voce return to end the series
